Accessible School Holiday Program
'Virtual Garden' Design Workshop
In the winter school holidays, NeuroHero is running an accessible workshop for children with physical disabilities between the ages of 13-18.
Many school holiday programs are partly or completely inaccessible to physical disabilities, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to be involved. Because of this, we take an accessible approach, to allow your child to relax, learn and have fun without worrying about being included. The workshop is priced at $35 to cover the costs of seedlings and soil and will run from 10:30am to 3:30pm on the 16th of July.
What the workshop includes:
Learn about where your food comes from in a 360° virtual experience of the University of Adelaide Waite campus
Use Minecraft to design a small veggie garden
See your designs come to life after the workshop at our Waite campus garden plot
Watch your garden grow with progress updates and keep the goodies the garden produces!

Our Story
Biogen Australian eChallenge
In 2020 we achieved first place in the Australian eChallenge, sponsored by Biogen, and were awarded $10,000 to get NeuroHero off the ground. With these resources, we aim to produce virtual reality experiences for young people with disability where they can transform their ideas into reality.
